Playing Slideshow in Full Screen Mode in Aperture 3

In the new Slideshow tools in Aperture 3 there are two ways to play back your slideshow. In one method you’ll get the slideshow in a small part of your window, and in the other you’ll get the Slideshow full screen. If you don’t know this trick though, it might look like you have to export your slideshow to get it to work.

Split View

The main display mode for the Slideshow is Split View, with the Slideshow images on the bottom and the Viewer on the top.

Playback

Pressing the Play button here results in a playback of the Slideshow that only fills the Viewer, the display of thumbnails stays on the bottom of the screen. This is so you can edit your Slideshow by moving items around.

Switch To Fullscreen

Switch your display to the Viewer only mode (press the V key until you get to the Viewer mode or select View>Viewer Mode) and then press the play button and your slideshow will run full screen. It’s a great way to show it off to clients.
